LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE CHRISTMAS DINNER

Hi Michael how are you and Terry doing.
Can you send this to the prayer warriors, I know many of us
are going to difficult times.  But I have hope that we might have
or you might know someone that have an extra item of food in the kitchen,
or anything extra that you are not using or clothing wearing for men, women and children.
We are collecting clothing, shoes, coats, jackets, blankets,
backpacks, anything that we can give to the visitors on Christmas day.
If they have new items that we can give as gift to the men and women
that come that day we also need them.
Toys, use and new.
Margie asked for prayers I am sending you the list of what we are
praying for.
I still have 5 families that need to be adopted.
We need film to take pictures of the children on Christmas day.
We are planing of making bags of food to donate that day to the families
so if you have an extra can of bean, extra spaghetti bag, macaroni, rice,
anything that we can put in the bag will be greatly appreciated.
We are making toiletry bags for the homeless.
for the men we need gloves, beanies, socks, lotion, etc.
for the women, lotion, jewelry, gloves, beanies, etc. to give as gift.

Thank you and may GOD ALWAYS BLESS YOU.

Hi everybody

I am looking for red and green material or any color material, also red, green, orange, black, blue, purple, and other color treads for embroidery and small lace.

St. Vincent De Paul is renting a table for a Lady that embroiders beautifully, that way she can help her family, she is one of the families that we help with furniture.  There were two members of the family working one of the fathers left the the grandma with the children.

I gave her some money for materials but the tread is expensive.

So I thought probably someone has tread or material around the house that they bought to start a project but it never happened.

Or you might have a friend that used to embroider.
If you do please bring the items to the Pastoral office today or tomorrow.

She does letter, flowers with tread and ribbons, she even embroiders the Kwanzaa candles and it looks beautiful.

She embroiders, letters flowers she said she can do any thing you ask her.

Suggestion if you have anything that you will like to embroiders for you or for a Christmas gift bringing on Sunday to the S.H.A.R.E. boutique.

Towels, dinner napkins, table clothes, pillow cases, etc.

come to the table on sunday

If you have questions e-mail me my Phone is not working.

Thank you.

Love & Blessings

LA Voice Leaders and Housing LA Urge City Council to Pass a Strong Mixed-Income Housing Policy

LA Voice Leaders and Housing LA
Continue to Fight for Housing for All!

Kelsy
This morning, while LA Voice leaders in Washington D.C. met with our National Leadership, Kelsy Jarboe and other LA Voice leaders headed to City Hall to attend an important meeting.
Housing LA and the broad array of residents from all parts of the city, attended a joint  meeting with two key City Council Committees to remind our City Council Members of the urgency and need for affordable housing in Los Angeles.

LA Voice Clergy Leader, Sister Karen Collier of St. Agatha's Catholic Church in mid-city, testified, with many others, about the pressing need in communities for decent and affordable housing. As Council Members listened attentively, testimony after testimony revealed the dire need of the City to address it's Housing Crisis. From Electricians to Accountants and from Nurses to formerly Homeless residents, all levels of the City shared their compelling stories to illustrate the urgency of passing a strong Mixed-Income Housing Policy that would bridge the gaps in Los Angeles.

Given the grim state of the economy, and the struggles families face all across Los Angeles, LA Voice Leaders are committed to advocating for a strong Mixed-Income Housing Ordinance that would transform the way Angelenos live in LA.

Thank you all for your continued support. We couldn't have come this far without you.
